Diagnostics

To diagnose diseases of the urinary system, male genitalia, there are applied the latest methods of treatment and devices of urotechnological development, such as:

• Transabdominal/transrectal sonography, doppler sonography of kidneys, bladder, prostate and testicles
• Modern urodynamic measurement site for diagnosing disorders of bladder emptying
• Endoscopy (urethrocystoscopy, urethrorenoscopy) for assessment of the urethra, bladder, ureters and pelvicalyceal system of the kidneys
• 2 working X-ray sites with the latest technology for beam examination, digital archiving
• MRT-controlled collection of small amounts of prostate biopsies with suspicion of a tumor
• Fluorescent cystoscopy (PDD) and fluorescently controlled tumor resection in the bladder

Therapy

All types of urological treatment, with the exception of kidney transplantation, are performed here.

No one has immunity from the problems that may arise during the treatment and surgical intervention. However, the excellent surgical education of employees and their competence allows solving any questions related to the field of urology.

• radical prostatectomy (retropubic, laparoscopic)
• radical cystectomy with the continent drainage of urine (artificial bladder from the ileum, Mainz Pauch) or ileal canal
• surgery of tumors of the kidneys, bladder, prostate and male genital organs
• laparoscopic nephrectomy
• reproductive restoration
• plastic reconstructive intervention in the kidneys, ureter and external male genitalia
• incontinence operation for women
• transurethral surgery of the prostate and bladder
• endoscopic treatment of urinary stones
• extracorporeal breaking of urinary stones with shock waves (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy ESWL)
• drug therapy of tumors of the urinary and genital tract (our clinic is a well-known clinic for advanced training in tumor therapy!)

Urologic diseases in women

• diagnosis and therapy of female incontinence by the classical operating method, such as anterior and posterior plastics (Amraich-Richter)
• all modern reticular implants, not only for incontinence, but also with bladder prolapse
• interdisciplinary treatment of the organ border crossing of cancer diseases in the pelvis
• botulinus toxin in the bladder
• electromotor therapy of the bladder for the treatment of chronic inflammation of the bladder (EMDA)

Operative is the drug therapy with the impossibility of conception and erectile dysfunction (our Prof. Heuser has additional qualifications in andrology!)

Pediatric urology

The success of the treatment of pediatric urology, up to the most severe cases, is due to the joint work of prof. Heuser doctors, heads of departments, with the pediatricians of our clinic:

• phimosis
• cryptorchidism
• hypospadias
• vesicorenal reflux with deflux-elimination or ureteral neoplasm
• stenosis of the renal pelvis
• ureterocele
• double kidneys with outflow impairment
• inflammatory organ infections
