The Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Onco-Otorhinolaryngology at the University Hospital Solingen is one of the best in Germany. The department is staffed by doctors with world-class qualifications.

Chief Physician

For many years, Professor Andreas Sesterhenn, MD, PhD, has been the head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and the Onco-Ortholaryngology Centre at the University Hospital Solingen.

Professor Sesterhenn is an honoured otolaryngologist and onco-surgeon, successfully continuing a family dynasty of physicians. On a daily basis, the professor and his colleagues successfully perform diagnostics and complex surgical procedures of the highest class in patients with cancer. The professor is a member of many medical societies and associations and has repeatedly been ranked among the best doctors in Germany. Andreas Zesterhenn is the author and co-author of 78 medical publications, actively participates in scientific work and is a member of the associations of the German Society of ENT Medicine and the German Society of Palliative Medicine.

The department has one of the best medical teams specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of ENT diseases and facial surgery.
