Paediatrics

The department of Paediatrics at the Academic Hospital Solingen is the first clinic in North Rhine-Westphalia to be certified as a ‘Child-Friendly Paediatric Clinic’ by the World Health Organization (WHO).
A child's illness is always difficult and sometimes a visit to the hospital is unavoidable. Our doctors will try to make your stay in the paediatrics department as comfortable as possible.

Our leading paediatricians carry out inpatient diagnosis and treatment of almost all diseases of children and adolescents, especially in acute cases. Specialised doctors use the most modern equipment and carry out treatment and examinations according to the most advanced methods.

Your child and you, as parents, are always in the centre of attention of the doctors of the paediatrics department. All children are accommodated in the wards of the Children's Centre according to their age.

Paediatricians, paediatric nurses, doctors from other specialties and physiotherapists work together within the framework of specialised and comprehensive therapeutic concepts.

The treatment in the paediatrics department at the hospital is child-centred and carried out by the most competent specialists in Germany and Europe.
